Andrew: All week we couldn’t have kept the halibut off our lines if we had wanted to. We caught 25-30 fish every day in less than five hours. It almost got annoying bringing up so many little halibut, but you can never complain about catching too many. We caught limits of 30-50 pound halibut every day, but one around all the little fish. You couldn’t let your line set on the bottom 20 seconds between fish, so it was impossible to rest after a fish. Fortunately, most of the bigger fish came early. If we had caught them at the end, it wouldn’t have been quite as enjoyable. The action was just unbelievable. We even caught halibut while trolling for salmon.

Tom: Well we made it back to Cheyenne late last night with all our boxes and bags. So we can officially put this trip in the book as a success. We both had such a great time it is hard to pick a highlight. Catching limits of big halibut, plenty of salmon including silvers, chums and kings; combined with your wonderful hospitality made this week a truly memorable week. I suppose if there was one particular highlight, it would have been the last hour of the last day when we switched from trolling flashers to casting pixeys into huge schools of jumping pinks off the Point of Adolphus in 3 foot waves. Motoring into schools of fish and watching Andrew balance on the bow and tie into pinks on almost every cast was pure fun. Thanks again for a great time.
