Fishing Update – 2017 Week 9 (August 13 – August 19, 2017)

It continues to be a record year at Doc’s. The silvers are phenomenal again this week. Large schools can be seen dancing on the water almost everywhere. It didn’t seem to matter where one chose to go, the salmon cooperated in strong numbers.

Halibut continues to be a little slower. The fish we do catch are nice; maybe it is because the silvers are so busy, people are finding it difficult to pull off and fish the big ones. Whatever the reason, boats are doing extremely well each week and we continue to have record amounts going home.

Check out some of the guest comments below from the last few weeks.
I hope to see to see you “reel” soon. Mark

“The whole trip was amazing.I was a little kid at Christmas not knowing what to do next. Besides the great fishing the staff was fantastic. It was fun to come back from fishing and see the friendly faces of the dock staff and their willingness to help out, you cannot leave out the lodge staff from the great meals to their smiling faces.” – John E.

Accommodations – Outstanding – was pleasantly surprised. Fishing! Staff was friendly and fun to talk to, always helpful and happy– Keiko C.

Meals were consistently tasty & plentiful & the variety of food was great. – Tennis T.

We really like the larger – faster boats. I really appreciated being able to take out thermos’ of hot drinks – very nice with all the rain & cold. – Karl B.
