2018 Twenty Eighteen

Fishing Update – 2018 Week 1 (June 17 – June 23, 2018)

The 2018 season is under way! Each season brings its own flavor. Last year was the year of the Silvers. It was rainy and wet; we only had 8 days of clear weather. This year the weather is dry and warm and the halibut are back with a ferocious appetite.

We saw many nice halibut on the dock this week. Most of our fishermen were working the western fishing grounds. Those that stayed close in also did well. Not many hours were spent fishing the eastern areas.

The wildlife has been spectacular. With the sunny warm days the sea lions and humpbacks have been putting on shows. The photography experience has been awesome.

After a great start, we are looking forward to some magical memories this season. Come join us! If you life doesn’t allow for a trip to Doc’s this year, now is the time to make plans for your next trip as well.

See you reel soon,
Your Doc Warner’s Family
