Salmon Balls Recipe


  • 1 (1-pound) can salmon
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 tsp grated onion
  • 1 tsp prepared horseradish
  • 1/4 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • chopped pecans or walnuts
  • chopped olives (optional)


  • Drain and clean, as needed, a can of salmon. Combine cream cheese, salmon, lemon juice, grated onion, horseradish, liquid smoke, and salt. Mix carefully to a smooth consistency and form into balls. Roll balls in finely chopped nuts, or roll in chopped olives. Refrigerate for several hours before serving. These balls can be successfully frozen.
