Salmon Balls Recipe

1 (1-pound) can salmon
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tsp lemon juice
3 tsp grated onion
1 tsp prepared horseradish
1/4 tsp liquid smoke
1/4 tsp salt
chopped pecans or walnuts
chopped olives (optional)

Drain and clean, as needed, a can of salmon. Combine cream cheese, salmon, lemon juice, grated onion, horseradish, liquid smoke, and salt. Mix carefully to a smooth consistency and form into balls. Roll balls in finely chopped nuts, or roll in chopped olives. Refrigerate for several hours before serving. These balls can be successfully frozen.
